In Kim is a US-qualified counsel, who specialises in advising Korean and multinational clients in relation to international commercial arbitration and cross-border litigation cases and complex cross-border transactions, including M&A, joint ventures, intellectual property, and corporate investments, in multiple jurisdictions.

In has worked on many of the high-profile cross-border transactions / corporate matters for multinational and Korean clients. He has broad experience spanning a variety of industry sectors, including automotive, healthcare, steel, financial services, energy and telecommunications.
He is also highly experienced in international dispute and white-collar crime investigation matter, acting for the financial institutions and Korean conglomerates.

In started his career at Yulchon in Korea. Following his experience at Yulchon, In worked at Hong Kong office of Ashurst as a senior associate and Korea Investment & Securities as an a counsel.

  • Represented Korea Investment & Securities Asia on the establishment of a limited partnership fund in the Cayman Islands to invest in clean energy businesses in the U.S. with a leading private equity firm in Asia as a co-general partner.
  • Advised Korea Investment & Securities on arranging and underwriting of a portion of AUD 1,850 million senior secured first lien term loan B facility provided to a fund managed by Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets for its acquisition of Vocus Group, a leading network solutions provider in Australia.
  • Advised Korea Investment & Securities on arranging and underwriting of a portion of USD 5.3 billion senior secured first lien term loan B facility provided to a fund managed by Apollo Global Management for its acquisition of the media business division of Verizon, a leading US telecommunications company.
  • Advised Hyundai Motor Group on the establishment of a US$ 4 billion joint venture with Aptiv PLC for the design, development and commercialization of software technologies, services, systems, vehicle architecture and other enabling offerings with respect to Level 4 and 5 autonomous driving technology
  • Represented Doosan Infracore in connection with its sale of Montabert S.A.S., a French subsidiary specialized in the manufacturing and sale of hydraulic drills and rock breakers, to Joy Global, a U.S. listed company
  • Represented 16 Korean auto part makers/service providers on their approximately USD 800 million greenfield investment project in India
  • Advised CJ Cheiljedang Corp. on its USD 12 million acquisition of a frozen food manufacturing company in Germany.
  • Represented Haevichi Hotel & Resort in connection with its business acquisition of a hotel in Guam, U.S. and subsequent conversion of the hotel from a hotel management arrangement to a franchise arrangement.
  • Represented Lotte Group in connection with its acquisition of a project company in St. Petersburg, Russia, for the construction of a luxury hotel located in the center of downtown St. Petersburg.
  • Represented Innocean Worldwide in connection with its acquisition of a USD 70 million U.S. advertisement creative service company.
  • Represented CJ CGV in connection with its financing arrangement with, and its attempted subscription to a publicly listed entertainment contents company in Vietnam.
  • Advised Hyundai Motor Company on its USD 12.3 million investment to Revv, self-drive car-sharing company in India.
