International arbitration specialist Haakon Bingen to join Peter & Kim as partner

Peter & Kim is thrilled to announce a new partner appointment, with Haakon Orgland Bingen joining the partnership, based in Switzerland, as of 2 February 2026.

Haakon joins the firm after having been with the international arbitration department of Wikborg Rein in Oslo for more than 12 years.

Haakon has extensive experience in commercial arbitration, with a particular focus on the European gas market, the renewable energy sector and post M&A disputes. With his impressive track record of gas and energy disputes in many high value arbitrations, Haakon’s expertise compliments Peter & Kim’s strengths in these sectors.

Alongside his counsel work, Haakon also sits as an arbitrator, publishes articles, and regularly gives lectures at the University of Oslo. He speaks Norwegian, English, Russian and Spanish, as well as Swedish and Danish. With Haakon’s addition, Peter & Kim positions itself as the only leading specialist arbitration practice with Nordic capabilities.
