Amélie Oppliger is a Swiss-qualified lawyer, specialising in international commercial and investment arbitration. She is active as counsel in a number of ad hoc and institutional arbitration proceedings conducted e.g. under the ICSID, ICC, SAC, SIAC and UNCITRAL Rules.
Prior to joining Peter & Kim, Amélie Oppliger has gained considerable experience working for a Trustee, as well as for Governmental and Non-Governmental Agencies.
She graduated with a Master in International Law from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva (2017) and a Bachelor in International Relations from the University of Geneva (2014).

- Counsel in an arbitration under ICC Rules for a major mining and metallurgy consortium with more than USD 500 million in dispute, with Swiss law applicable.
- Counsel in a long-running ad hoc arbitration arising out of a dispute between a state-owned enterprise and a sovereign state in the oil sector, involving aspects of public international law.
- Counsel in an arbitration under UNCITRAL Rules arising out of a dispute between a Canadian company and two mainland Chinese companies in relation to an unconventional gas project in China.
- Assistant to the Tribunal in an arbitration under ICC Rules stemming from the production sharing agreement for oil and gas in the Asia-Pacific region.
- Assistant to the Tribunal in a commercial arbitration concerning copper concentrate trading, with Swiss law applicable.
