Lixin is an associate at Peter & Kim in Singapore, specialising in cross-border dispute resolution with a particular focus on international commercial and investment arbitration.
Lixin obtained her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Singapore Management University and Columbia Law School respectively, where she graduated with various academic prizes and accolades. Since her time at school, Lixin has developed a focus in international law and international dispute resolution, having been a research assistant to various professors and at the Columbia Center on Sustainable Investment, an editor at the Columbia Journal of Transnational Law, and a mooter with podium finishes at multiple international moot court competitions.
Before joining Peter & Kim, Lixin practised at a leading law firm in Singapore. She acted in a broad range of cases, including cross-border commercial disputes and investigations, as well as restructuring and insolvency matters.
Outside of practice, Lixin maintains an active interest in international law and arbitration. She was recently an adjunct professor at Singapore Management University, where she co-taught a course on Public International Law. She has also published in the Asian international Arbitration Journal and presented at various international conferences, including the Asian Society of International Law Conference and the Asia Legal History Conference. Lixin continues to coach her juniors at her alma mater who are participating in international moot competitions.

- Representing a local government in a SIAC arbitration seated in Singapore involving a dispute over the construction and operation of a waste management facility.
- Representing a sub-contractor in an ICC arbitration seated in Singapore involving a dispute over the construction of facilities for an LNG project.
- Represented a construction engineering company in an SIAC arbitration seated in Singapore with respect to an employment dispute.
- Advised a franchisee on its obligations under a franchising agreement governed by Singapore law.
- Advised a semiconductor manufacturing company on various aspects, including employment and operational issues.
- Advised shareholders on a dispute arising from a joint venture agreement to develop and franchise certain products in the bakery business in Korea.
As tribunal secretary:
- Assisted the Sole Arbitrator in an ICC arbitration seated in the Republic of Korea, involving a telecommunication system for the monitoring of an oil and gas pipeline and distribution network.
