Kyle is an associate in Peter & Kim’s Singapore office, specialising in high value international commercial arbitration and arbitration-related litigation. Kyle has acted as counsel under various arbitral institutions, as well as before the Singapore High Court and Court of Appeal.
Kyle has experience in a wide variety of disputes across a range of sectors including cryptocurrency, oil and gas, joint ventures, and general commercial disputes. Kyle has challenged and enforced arbitral awards, and obtained and resisted applications for interim measures in favour of arbitration including worldwide freezing injunctions and proprietary injunctions. These disputes frequently engage novel issues of law across numerous jurisdictions and legal systems.
Prior to joining Peter & Kim, Kyle trained and practised with Senior Counsel at a leading Singapore boutique disputes firm, where Kyle acted for States, international organisations, international firms and insolvency practitioners in high-value and complex fraud litigation, asset recovery, and contentious restructuring and insolvency briefs.

- Acted for the Russian Federation in resisting enforcement of arbitral awards in favour of former shareholders of the now-defunct OJSC Yukos. The awards are in excess of US$50 billion – the largest known arbitral awards in modern history.
- Acted for an international organisation in successfully obtaining and enforcing a worldwide Mareva injunction before the Singapore Courts in aid of a contemplated foreign arbitration.
- Acted for a British national and founder of a shipbuilding company against, among others, the Government of Norway for claims in excess of US$300 million arising from various deeds of guarantee.
- Acted for a high-value private client in successfully enforcing a provisional award issued under the auspices of the Dubai International Arbitration Centre, in Singapore for the freezing of approximately US$90 million.
- Acted for the purchaser of a Myanmar telecommunications company in a SIAC arbitration for the breach of a Share Purchase Agreement amounting to approximately S$110 million.
- Acted for a Thai Plan Administrator in an SIAC Arbitration for the breach of a Service Agreement, the Thai Civil and Commercial Code and Thai Bankruptcy Act amounting to approximately S$35 million.
- Acted for the joint and several liquidators of Hin Leong Trading (Pte.) Ltd (in compulsory liquidation) in one of the largest and most complex ongoing liquidations in Singapore, with a debt profile of over US$4 billion.
- Acted for the joint and several liquidators of AmazingTech Pte Ltd (in compulsory liquidation), the operators of a cryptocurrency exchange, which has a debt profile of over S$240 million.
