Against the backdrop of the Lee Kang Sook Hall at the Korea National University of Arts, we hosted an enchanting evening of music featuring Professor Daejin Kim, President of the University, Professor Harean Hong and Professor Won Whi Choi, and their talented students. The concert was followed by a networking reception during which the team enjoyed catching up with friends and colleagues of the firm.
The event provided the perfect moment for Peter & Kim to launch the re-imagining of its brand.
A unique event exploring the deep and long-established economic and trade ties between Australia and Korea. With an introduction by James Morrison and moderated by Tom Moxham, we heard from an incredible panel of speakers: Katherine Twomey (Australian Embassy Korea); Dane Richmond (Austrade); Steven Park, (Brewguru Co Ltd), Geoff Farnsworth (Grain Trade Australia) and Charis Tan, exploring the highlights and achievements from ten years of KAFTA, supply chain issues and mechanisms for effective dispute resolution.
We thank the speakers for their insights, AustCham Korea for its support of the event and Mia Trading for donating the lucky door prizes!
Joining with Clifford Chance and WilmerHale to host an interactive exploration of the evolution of witness conferencing in international arbitration. A lively discussion moderated by Kevin Kim and drawing on the experience of our expert speakers, Dr Wolfgang Peter, Jason Fry KC and Matteo Angelini this session considered how witness conferencing came to be, its development and use over time, and whether it has met its potential.
We also spent a day out together – enjoying the sights, sounds and tastes of Seoul! Open decked buses took us on a visit to Changdeokgung Palace, lunch and exploration at Gwangjang Market, followed by a trip to the Namsan Tower and dinner at Samwon Garden.
